Lupulo is a spacious dining spot in the NoMad area of Manhattan, New York. A traditional Portuguese theme resonates throughout the interior and extends to the entrance and façade. Hand-crafted Portuguese ceramic tiles line both interior and exterior walls, creating a harmony of color and pattern. Industrial and rustic maritime details such as knotted screens and blackened metal fittings pepper the wood-floored space. Centered in the restaurant is an oval shaped raw bar where guests can be served fresh fish in an open, airy, semi-casual environment. The blackened steel counter top with reclaimed bar die brings in a rustic yet warm feeling, while the surrounding tiled dining tables and low-seating remind one of the openness and freshness of the coastal environments that flourish in Portugal. A coffee bar with a street side “To-Go” window, located at the corner of 6th Avenue and 29th Street, allows patrons to grab a quick bite while on the go.
